George Jackson Academy is a unique independent middle school for bright boys from low-income communities in New York City. Since our founding, our mission has been rooted not only in academic excellence, but in exposure to opportunity.

 

At GJA, we believe that when young men are introduced to worlds beyond their neighborhoods—whether through rigorous academics, amazing partnerships, mentoring, and professional role models—they begin to see what’s possible for their own futures.

 

Our goal has always been to open those doors and widen their horizons, so that each student can envision and pursue a life of purpose, leadership, and impact. However, offering these life changing experiences to our students is not automatic, it is only possible through generous supporters like you!​
